She is currently a researcher at the Institute of Scientific and Technological Communication and Information in Health (ICICT), Fiocruz. Visiting professor, European Master of Public Health, Erasmus Program, European Commission. Member, Permanent Board, Graduate Program in Health Communication and Information (ICICT/Fiocruz). She is a fellow at the WK Kellogg Foundation, a member of the Editorial Board of Revista Baiana de Saúde Pública, and a referee for Revista Ciência e Saúde Coletiva, Revista Physis, Revista Brasileira de Educação Médica, Revista do CEBES, Revista Trabalho, Educação e Saúde, and Biomed Central. Affiliated with the Brazilian Association of Graduate Education in Collective Health (Associação Brasileira de Pós-Graduação em Saúde Coletiva - ABRASCO), the Brazilian Association of Medical Education (Associação Brasileira de Educação Médica - ABEM), the International Union for Health Promotion Education (IUHPE), the Brazilian Society of Family and Community Medicine (Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina de Família e Comunidade - SBMFC) and the Spanish Society of Family and Community Health (Sociedad Española de Medicina Familiar y Comunitária - SEMFyC).
She has experience in Collective Health and Health Higher Education, and her work mainly focuses on the following subjects: professional training for the Unified Health System (SUS), communication and health, health human resources, curriculum and teacher development, and educational assessment.
