The academic master's objective is to deepen the graduate's technical-scientific and academic knowledge, in order to qualify him to carry out research, develop processes, products and methodologies in the fields of information and communication in health, as well as enable his training for the teaching in higher education and in lato sensu graduate courses.
The master's will have a minimum duration of 12 months and a maximum of 24 months. The minimum course load for the master's consists of:
I. 300 hours of mandatory courses.
II.120 hours of elective courses.
III.1,020 hours for the preparation and defense of the dissertation.
The course content may be offered in the form of classes, seminars, group discussion, practical work, research, or other didactic procedures appropriate to each line of research and respective disciplines.
The PPGICS courses are offered in an in-person format, with a limited number of activities that may use non-presential methods, in accordance with current legislation.
