Researcher, National Public Health School (ENSP/FIOCRUZ), where he chairs the Laboratory of the Internet, Health, and Society (LAISS) associated with the Germano Sinval de Faria Teaching Healthcare Center (CSEGSF). He is an accredited professor in the Graduate Program in Health Information and Communication, Institute of Scientific and Technological Communication and Information in Health (ICICT), Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz).

He conducts research on the impact of the Internet on the doctor-patient relationship, the “Digital Born”, and assessment of the quality of information on health websites.
