Researcher in Public Health, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. Assistant professor, Course on Social Communication, Salgado de Oliveira University. PhD, Communication, MA, Political Science, and Specialist in Brazilian History, Fluminense Federal University. He has experience in Communication, with emphasis on political science, history, psychoanalysis, and health. His main subjects of interest are: media, observatory, political analysis, memory, discourse analysis, and social psychology. Professor, Technical Course on Health Surveillance and member, Research Ethics Committee, Joaquim Venâncio Polytechnic Health School. He was a member of the analysts’ staff of a research project on monitoring of H1N1 and dengue, Health Ministry/Secretary of Health Surveillance/Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. He currently chairs the Laboratory of Research on Communication and Health, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, and is an associate researcher in the “Supervision of residency programs: teaching, research and management in Brazil” project.
