Bachelor’s in Medicine, Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1989); MA, Collective Health, State University of Rio de Janeiro (1995); PhD, Public Health, National Public Health School, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation - ENSP/Fiocruz (2007). He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Scientific and Technological Communication and Information in Health (ICICT), Fiocruz, and a professor in the Graduate Program in Health Information and Communication, PPGICS/ICICT. He has experience in Public Health, with main emphasis on the following subjects: records of clinical trials, the psychometric assessment of questionnaires, race, and online education. He currently conducts research on the assessment of the Brazilian health system’s performance and health-related quality of life.
