Bachelor’s in Statistics, State University of Rio de Janeiro (2001); MA, Public Health, National Public Health School (2004); PhD, Public Health, National Public Health School (2009). He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Scientific and Technological Communication and Information in Health, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation; and a professor and chair, Graduate Program in Health Information and Communication (PPGICS). He has experience in Collective Health, with emphasis on epidemiology and health information. His main subjects of interest are: health information systems, population-based surveys, sampling, and HIV/AIDS.
